A warm welcome to the website of the Timor-Leste and Development Partners' Meeting (TLDPM)! The TLDPM is an annual gathering of the Development Partners of Timor-Leste convened to discuss, among others, progress on the implementation of the development initiatives in the country. The name for the Meeting was adopted in December 2002 to highlight the significance of forging development partnerships among bilateral and multilateral donors and other key development stakeholders operating in the country. The latter include civil society organizations, the private sector, media, academe and the Church. Since then, the TLDPMs have served as mechanisms for presenting and discussing the current priorities and proposed directions of the Government of Timor-Leste to its Development Partners, as it strived to build the foundation for a robust and democratic nation. This website is dedicated to cater not only to our Development Partners but also for other parties who have interest in knowing more about our small and emerging country. Apart from TLDPM-related documents, this site contains official documents and publications issued by the Government of Timor-Leste. The documents provide accounts of the development efforts undertaken in the territory since the handover of governance on 20 May 2002 when the country became the newest member of the community of nations. We hope that the information made available on this site will contribute to the enhancement of the knowledge on our nascent country, particularly in appreciating its development context and perspectives. We welcome your feedback and suggestions on improving this site and to better information sharing among our Development Partners and other interested parties. We are grateful to everyone who have, in one way or another, steadfastly supported us in the past and continue to do so, as we strive to attain a flourishing and sustainable future for our people and nation.
