The Timor-Leste Revenue Service (TLRS) is an independent agency within the Ministry of Finance.

The TLRS is responsible for administering the country 's Services Tax, Wages Income Tax, and Income Tax, as well as taxes payable in the area covered by the Joint Petroleum Development Area in the Timor Sea. The TLRS does not administer import duty, excise tax on imported goods, sales tax on imported goods, or export taxes, as these taxes are administered by the Customs Service.
The TLRS is headed by a Commissioner of Revenue, who is appointed by the Minister of Finance. The Commissioner 's powers and duties are derived from UNTAET Regulation 2000/18 (as amended June 2002).
The Timor-Leste Revenue Service is managed
