This September, the Ministry of Finance has awarded ten scholarships to an undergraduate course in statistics at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Statistik in Jakarta. The course has the duration of four years, under the support of the PFMCBP Project (Planning and Financial Management Capacity Building Program).
The selection process of the ten students took one year. The initial applicants were 151, but only 80 followed the required criteria. The tests were mainly conducted by Lecturers from Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Statistik Jakarta in collaboration with staff from the Ministry of Finance. The ten selected students left to Indonesia on September 20th.
The PFMCBP Project is a multi-year and multi-donor program co-administered and managed by the World Bank and the Ministry of Finance. Aims at strengthening the planning, budgeting, public expenditure management and revenue administration for growth and poverty reduction.
