Directorate for Budget

Our role and responsibilities

  • Draft, monitor and evaluate the State General Budget
  • Report use of Government funds against the State General Budget priorities and goals set by the Government
  • Implement the budget priorities and goals set by the Government
  • Collect and handle financial information related to the whole of the public administration sector, and promote and publish statistic outcomes, in collaboration with the Statistics Directorate
  • Developing methods to monitor budget programs and policies, and
  • Coordinate the budget policy with the ministries and services of Public Administration, issuing the necessary instructions for the preparation of the State General Budget.
