Procurement System Management Department

Our role and responsibilities

  • Centrally manage and develop the FreeBalance IFMIS Procurement Module to improve existing public procurement processes and procedures and to facilitate more efficient, flexible, and transparent management of funds
  • Integrate existing procurement steps, milestones and affiliated documentation into the IFMIS Procurement Module
  • Ensure Line Ministries and Agencies have access to the FreeBalance IFMIS Procurement Module by
  • Determine IFMIS Procurement Module end user and administrator profiles, roles and responsibilities and authorisation levels
  • Foster improvements and reconfiguration of the FreeBalance Procurement Module to increase its functionality, responsiveness to end users needs and user friendliness
  • Ensure the FreeBalance IFMIS Procurement Module is able to closely track the progress of individual transactions, map process performance against approved time standards and targets, and in an adequate format
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of procurement data of Line Ministries and Agencies and supply markets
  • Ensure that the FreeBalance IFMIS Procurement Module will enable rapid access to data sources, their aggregation, and support real-time and event-driven data delivery, and
  • Undertake end user surveys to assess user satisfaction with the Free Balance IFMIS Procurement Module.
