Sensus Fo Fila Fali – Giving Back the Census – was an ambitious project to share the key results of the 2010 Census with community leaders in every suco – village area – of the country.
The project started on 4 November 2011 with a launch at Dili Convention Centre (Mercado Lama) by the Prime Minister and launches in every district. The disseminatin of Sensus Fo Fila Fali was complete by the end of 2011 when all sucos were visited.
One of the main ideas behind Sensus Fo Fila Fali was to give back to local communities the feedback they deserve for having made generous efforts to make the collection of Census information successful. Read the Media release and news item.
A special 24-page Suco Report has been produced for every suco, containing a collection of suco statistics and information about how individual sucos compare with their district and the country.
If you are an organisation operating in Timor-Leste, email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange to collect a USB with all 442 Suco Reports, or download the Suco Reports from this site. We are distributing one USB per organisation or line ministry.
Sensus Fo Fila Fali involved 18 dissemination teams visiting every one of Timor-Leste´s 442 sucos, where the Suco Reports were presented at a full-day workshop. Community leaders learnt about how far their villages, and the country, have come in reaching the Millennium Development Goals and what else needs to be done.
