Special Requirements For Some Goods

There are additional requirements you must meet before you can import or bring into Timor-Leste certain goods.

Live animals, live plants, and animal and vegetable products

If you want to import live animals, live plants and animal or vegetable products you have to obtain a license issued by the Directorate of Quarantine Services prior to the importation.

Motor vehicles

Before importing a motor vehicle, the importer must obtain a permit from the National Director of Ground Transportation.

Other permits

Some other goods need the relevant permits and authorisations from the national controlling agency, such as phytosanitary, health, and firearms, before being declared to Customs.
