International Monetary Fund (IMF) led a Technical Assistance Mission to Dili, Timor-Leste

At the request of the Timor-Leste authorities, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) led a Technical Assistance Mission to Dili, Timor-Leste during February 6-19, 2013. The main objective of the Mission was to provide advice and support the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Timor-Leste on the governance structure and the management of the Petroleum Fund, including capacity building.

The Mission held meetings with the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the Senior Public Finance Management Advisor to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance, the management and staff of the Petroleum Fund Administration Unit and the Director of Treasury at MoF, the Executive Director of the Department of Petroleum Fund Management and the Chief Accountant of the Central Bank of Timor-Leste, the Petroleum Fund Consultative Council, the Investment Advisory Board, the external auditor, donors, and NGOs.
