The Ministry of Finance through Development Partnership Development Unit (DPMU) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation through Multilateral Division co-hosted on 28 October 2016 the final Quarterly Development Partners Meeting for 2016.
Representatives from line-ministries and Development Partners including Private Sector and Civil Society Organisations participated in the meeting where they discussed the post-annual Timor-Leste Development Partners Meeting on 4-5 July 2016 under the theme Financing for Sustainable Agenda.
The meeting gave the opportunity to continue the discussions on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to outline the 2017 proposed Budget, update on Timor-Leste Aid Policy (Version 2) and to give an introductory presentation about the Aid Transparency Portal (ATP) by presenting summary of Development Cooperation Report. A separate ATP training session for Development Partners was announced for the mid of November 2016.
The next Quarterly Development Partners Meeting is scheduled for late Feb/Early March 2017 and will be again co-hosted by MoF and MFAC. The prospective location for 2017’s first QDPM is going to be the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
